Frigiliana is one of the Axarquía's most photogenic white villages, built into the hillside above Nerja. Its Moorish old quarter of narrow lanes, steps, whitewashed façades and views towards the coast is best explored slowly. It combines easily with Nerja, but deserves enough time to wander rather than treating it as a quick photo stop.
